So we finally took her in for her 12 mo. check up (she kept getting ear infections so we had to keep waiting for the 4 week check up so I didn't have to pay separate co-pays.) She is still pretty tiny but she's getting bigger. She weighs 19.6 lbs. (I THINK that's the 14%) she's 28" (16%) and her head is 40 cm. (50%) He said she looks great and very healthy. And then they checked her ears....They had to hold her down on the table (he always gets the nurse because I suck at it.) and he checked each ear two times and blew that stuff in them...she broke blood vessels on her face...a lot of them. Then after that she got five shots and a finger poke. MAJOR BUMMER. When they were checking her ears Michael obviously was getting nervous. So I sent him back under the exam table to play with the toys while they did the shots. Luckily Dr. Kramers nurses are really really fast. I still hate it though. Violet was just fine in about five minutes. She even smiled at the doctor when he came back in. But I was pretty mad :) Then the next day we had to go get a timpanogram (ear test) done to see if there was fluid in her ears. She has gotten four or five infections already. They are full of fluid. But when they were doing the test I had to hold her tight so they could do it and she kept pulling it out...anyway it was a lot of sadness for everyone...but she's fine and was just fine in a matter of seconds. We go back on Tuesday to see what the Audiologist wants us to do. I know this is a super long post but here's what Violet is up to: She can run super fast...like so fast I can't catch her before she tries to open the toilet seat AGAIN., she likes to climb up and down the stairs but her favorite thing to do is watch me come running when she pretends like she's going to walk down the stairs forward...punk. She likes to dance a lot. She's the cutest little dancer I have ever seen. She wants to play with Michael all the time and loves breaking his lego projects and has started hitting (she thinks it's funny.) She just barely got two teeth on the bottom so she also figured out how to bite people on the leg. She loves to put stuff on her head and run around. She is the VERY VERY cutest right after her bath. We play in her room for a while and she always does the cutest things. Here are some very very cute pictures of her :) Okay I SWEAR I added the pictures right here but Oh well :)

Here I go!!
Costume fun! Michael learning what happens when you pull Uncle Daniel's finger.
That week we had a lot of fun. Here's some random pictures from the week.
Pumpkin carving. And some VERY freaky snakes. I HATE HATE HATE snakes. But Micahel LOVES them. Gross.

So I'm taking Bevany's advice and trying to do the Picasa stuff this way. Watch out blogger world there's going to be a LOT of these coming your way! Someone let me know if you can view the pictures when you click on them. And I'm sorry they're not pretty like my other siblings collages :) Take what you get!

Halloween in a hurry.
She couldn't really see but I think she still looks adorable!
Halloween for us was a week long party fest. I will post more pictures soon. I need to go clean my house. It started off with a pumpkin carving party at Grandma W.'s then a pumpkin walk at the botanical gardens, then Michael had a party at school (not as cool as the party at Lincoln's house I'm sure :) then on Friday we went to Grandma Blair's Halloween extravaganza (Michael has been asking if it's time for that party for about three months...good job Grandma!! THEN it was finally Halloween. He got bored of trick or treating after about four houses!! But it was great. We came home, watched cool starwars clips and went to bed early. GREAT Halloween for me : ) I'll do some picasa stuff and post it soon.

Birthday Princess.
Thanks everyone for coming. It was so much fun. She got so much fun stuff and had a great time playing with everyone. I can't believe she's already one!! (If anyone wants to help me figure out how to put more than one picasa thing in a post I would appreciate it!)

Busy busy Day...
Last year I was really sad. Crying as I dropped him off, thinking that maybe I should keep him home just one more year wondering if I was making a huge mistake...worrying that maybe he needed one more year home with Mommy since it would be his last alone (Violet was born about two months later.) But THIS YEAR......as I was getting him ready and he almost kicked me in the head while we were putting his shoes on and as he refused to pee in the toilet all day and "poked" me in the eye a number of times I couldn't stop smiling because I knew that he was GOING back to Pre-school. And just so you don't think I'm a terrible person he was just as excited as I am :)
He was SOOO excited he was practically...okay was RUNNING all over the place.
He wanted to take his camera to school. I was so smiley and happy that I didn't care.
But as he started getting really happy and I was happy for him I realized that this would be the very last year ever that he would only go for two days. EVER.
The last year EVER that we would have more than half the day together. The last year EVER that I could keep him home just because I felt like it.
He was so excited to go to school that I stopped being sad and I was really happy for him. Especially when he ran in and played with the toys. It was really crowded and I was worried but when I told him it was time for me to leave he didn't even think twice!
How many schools have a space shuttle as their mascot? Seriously? This is the same elementary school I went to.

Okay so I got a little camera happy...

But he loved it and when I picked him up he was happy and smiling and said "Mommy can I come back to Pre-school tomorrow?" It was great. We have had a fun full summer and I love him so much. But I love him even more when we get a little break :)
On the way home Violet fell asleep. TWO children occupied what's a Mommy to do? CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!

But first I wrapped Violet up tight and realized that this is probably the last month that I will get to hold her and rock her and kiss her cheeks and snuggle her like a baby because now she's walking and she will only let me do that when she's asleep. So every time I put her to sleep I hold her and rock her and kiss her and just breathe it all in. And then go down stairs for some alone time :)

On the way home from preschool we saw a car show so we went home had a snack and headed RIGHT back out! It was great. Michael wouldn't let me take his picture unless it was in front of a race car. He knew that a Viper was a racecar :) (how can it not be it has racing stripes!)

Someday I would like one of these. Only it will be red. And probably a convertible. Someday!

Free Icecream rocks!

Then back home to make some dinner and finish straightening up. Since YW was going to be at my house tonight. I had a great time with the girls and we got to know each other a little more (we played pretty pretty princess. It was fun....also my necklace got stuck on my nose on when I was putting it on...twice. That's right I had piggy nose TWICE.)
Anyway as excited as I was to have Michael go back to school it's still a little hard to realize that he's four and not a baby any more and that Violet is almost one and getting bigger every day (videos of her WALKING (okay more like pre-running) to come soon.) Make it easier to deal with the every day stuff and make me love them more and more and more. They're growing up and there's nothing I can do about it...except play with them and pretend like they're not. Sometimes being a Mom sucks. TOTALLY SUCKS and sometimes It's the greatest thing in the entire universe. Today I looked at Violets hand and realized that it's getting bigger. And that she's growing up. I realized that Michael only has one more year at home with me. I'm so so lucky that i get to stay home and play with them. A lot of time is taken up doing stuff...diapers cleaning blah blah blah stuff but sometimes we just get to play. I LOVE that. I love those days where we get to play in the pool regardless of how messy the house is. I love those days that we sit outside and eat a popsicle even though it's time to make dinner. I love reading books and just holding them. It's nice to have moments like this to help me remember how much i love them when sometimes it gets really hard. I kept wondering how I could possibly love anyone as much as I love Michael, and it just happens. It's nice to have a little break sometimes to help me realize how much I love being with my kids and how special they are. So there you go here's a loooonnnng journal entry from me. And that's right Anna TWO posts in one day. Thanks for challenging me a little bit :)
All I need is a little pressure...
Okay so Anna told me I should take some pictures and update my blog. It sort of sounded like a challenge...apparently it was just what I needed!! More to come as soon as I get challenged enough :)
So I realized that it was the last week of summer...so we got out the pool ;)
But first I had to catch Violet to put some sunscreen on her...
But before that she fell asleep soo....

We got some Mommy buddy alone swimming time. LOOK at the kid he's RIPPED!!!
Well the day before Mom and Dad decided to be really nice to me and give me a break a really really fun break!!!

That's right he's driving by himself (it's okay Mom was on the tube!!)
